Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve raised a $12 million Series A funding round, led by AlleyCorp Impact with participation from SemperVirens, Reach Capital, Y Combinator, Company Ventures, Green Sands Equity, and 01 Advisors. Our new funding will help Stepful expand program offerings, grow partnerships with healthcare systems, and invest in AI to personalize coaching support and customize learning experiences.
The healthcare industry is facing an unprecedented workforce crisis. Stepful is addressing the critical workforce shortage by providing comprehensive training and robust job placement support to those who would otherwise be unable to enter the industry. To date, the company has graduated over 3,000 students, boasting an impressive 80% job placement rate within two months and an average 25% increase in income for its graduates.
"At Stepful, we're not just investing in technology; we're investing in people. Our mission goes beyond training; it's about creating pathways to prosperity for those in underserved communities. This new round of funding is a testament to our commitment to both expand our geographic reach and offer new healthcare careers. With each graduate, we're not only filling a vital gap in the healthcare workforce but also uplifting individuals and communities with life-changing career opportunities,” Carl Madi, CEO & Co-Founder, Stepful.
Simultaneously, Stepful welcomes Wanda Cole-Frieman and Tanya Beja to its Board of Directors. Allison Baum Gates will also join as a Board Observer. Cole-Frieman brings decades of experience in healthcare and talent acquisition, and a long track record of leading innovative and diverse teams across the country. Cole-Frieman is the Senior Vice President of Talent Acquisition for CommonSpirit Health (formerly Dignity Health). Beja brings decades of experience supporting high growth businesses that produce outsized returns and meaningful impact. Beja is currently the Managing Partner at AlleyCorp Impact, investing in early stage startups that effectively serve underserved populations.
