At Stepful, we appreciate the sacrifice and dedication that military members and their families make to keep our country safe.
To do our part in giving back, we have partnered with the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide free healthcare training to:
- Members of the Army through the Army Credentialing Assistance Program
- Members of the Air Force through the Air Force Credentialing Assistance Program
- Military spouses through the My Career Advancement Account Program
Through these programs, eligible military members and their spouses can get Stepful’s and the resulting certifications completely for free. We have programs for both aspiring medical assistants and pharmacy technicians.
Both programs include in-person externships to give you real-world experience after you finish your classes. We also offer career coaching to help you craft your resume, prepare for interviews, and find a job.
Here’s a quick look at each program. Be sure to check out our full guides linked at the bottom of each section to learn more:

More About Stepful’s Healthcare Training
Stepful’s Medical Assistant Program is just 4 months of classes that prepare students to take the NHA’s CCMA exam and work as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Medical assistants help with both clinical and administrative tasks in hospitals, doctor’s offices, and other healthcare institutions.
Stepful’s Pharmacy Technician Program is also only 4 months and prepares students to take the NHA’s ExCPT exam. Pharmacy technicians work at pharmacies' front counters and behind the scenes at hospitals, helping people get the medicines they need.
