To work as a certified pharmacy technician in New Hampshire, you must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. You must also pass a background check showing no drug-related crimes on your record.

New Hampshire does not require pharmacy technicians to complete a training course. However, you must pass a national certification exam to be licensed as a certified pharmacy technician.
In addition, pharmacy technicians who complete a training course that is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) can do additional tasks like medication compounding.

New Hampshire recognizes two national certification exams for pharmacy technicians. They are the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and the NHA’s ExCPT exam. In order to register as a certified pharmacy technician, you must pass one of these exams.

After passing the certification exam, you will submit your certification and application to the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy to receive your license.
